Nicole Masnicak, BU's KIND Campus Ambassador, stores boxes of KIND bars under her lofted, dorm room bed.

Not only are healthy fast-casual restaurants and brands popping up on college campuses, but they are also enlisting students to become campus ambassadors to spread their message.

Nicole Masnicak, a junior in Boston University's College of Arts and Sciences, is a brand ambassador for KIND, a healthy snack brand known for their various granola bars.

"My role here is to just live KIND's mission of being healthy to your body, your tastebuds, and your world and making your world a little kinder one act and snack at a time," she says.

Masnicak also expressed that in spreading the word about KIND’s brand, she is teaching people how to substitute their snacks for healthier options.

“One of KIND’s biggest philosophies is the “and” philosophy—that you don't have to compromise taste for health. For students, it doesn’t really feel like you’re suffering to be healthy because you are eating a tasty snack,” she says

And KIND, isn’t the only food brand that is encouraging students to get involved. Restaurant chain, Honeygrow also has campus reps, who encourage varying student organizations to partner with them for fundraising purposes and to cater events.

In using students as ambassadors for these health brands, it encourages students to live a greener, healthier lifestyle more than ever before.
