Where Does The Future of Books Lay?

According to a Forbes piece from April of this year, traditional publishing E-book sales dropped by 10%.
Boston is a city known for its extensive libraries and plethora of independent bookstores. In the wake of high technological advancement, the real question is what is happening to books now? How are libraries and indie bookstores impacted?
And, based on a study from PubTrack Digital, is the consumer is actually going back to the physical copy? If so, why now?
These are the questions that I wish to explore in my next piece. I plan to interview owners of independent booksellers, librarians, workers at bookstore chains, and people who simply love to read, or have to.
